The 3d animation was produced with the kind
support of ANAT
(Australian Network for Art & Technology), the
Queensland Arts Council and special assistance from
animator John
Tonkin.
materials: video , paper, board, stainless
steel and lead.
3d animation:
the video clip (right) was made two years after the sculpture
it was shown with. It is entirely computer generated. It was
interesting that when the works were shown together the majority
of viewer believed that the video was the same object as the
sculpture---it is the space between the real and virtual that
continues to intrigue me.
